MS Lync With Child Domains - Part 1


How To Allow users to Login to MS Lync from Child Domains in the same forests


     

from the Lync Server

 1- Open The Lync Server , Topology Builder
     and Chose " Download Topology From Existing Deployment "

                       
Next window will ask you to save the current Lync server setting to " Chose folder "

after that high light on Lync Server and chose " Edit Properties "

               


Next Step add the other Sip Domains
on top you will find " Default SIP Domain  : testegypt.com "      for Example

You will write on " Additional Supported SIP Domains : another child domain in the same forest
fore Example " test.com " then press ADD


               

click on  " Simple URL "

           and add Dialin for the Addional Domain " Https://dialin.test.com "
           and add Meeting Url " Https://meet.test.com "


after that high light on Lync Server and Topology -----> Publish
to return and apply the new configuration to the LYNC Server






then follow the Publish instructions to Finish it


Now from The " Lync Control Panel "
Enable Users and search for users on Additional Domain




and press OK

             select in Assign Users to a Pool " Your Lync Server Pool "
            and in Generate users's Email Address ---> " Use Users's Email Address "
           and press Enable




it should be enabled now

if you faced the below error




On your domain controller > Open Active Directory Users and Computers, and locate a user that you are having a problem with > View > Advanced > Select the security tab > Advanced > Permissions and Put a tick into "Include inheritable permissions from this objects parent" > Apply OK




and try to enable this user again
